Pagination dilema
I have a document template with (2) pages of non-numbered front matter, ie,
Title Page and TOC and (4) pages of numbered pages, ie, Page 1 of Y, etc. so that the total number of pages is (6). I need to keep the format of "Page X of Y", but I cannot figure out how to keep Word from adding in my (2) non-numbered pages... How do I format the pagination so that my numbered pages read "Page 1 of 4" etc...instead of "Page 1 of 6" etc.? Thank you to those who can help me! |

Pagination dilema
The X and Y in the page numbering are fields. Right-click the Y number and
choose Toggle Field Codes. Then you'll see {NUMPAGES}. Change that to {SECTIONPAGES}. Right-click again and choose Update Field. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit.
