find column of a word in a line using horizontal ruler
Yesterday I posted this probelm and got a response Email but the link showed
a blank page. I have a Word 2007 document and need to know what column from the rule bar I am on to line some things up. Can the rul bar give you this. Thank you. Example: The red fox jumped over the fence. the :f: for fox is under column 9 |

As Peter replied to your previous post, that information really is rather
meaningless when dealing with proportional fonts. Also I see no link in either of the replies. But anyway... Probably due to the first point above the display of line position on the Status Bar is no longer the default in 2007 as it was in earlier versions. If you need it, right-click the Status Bar & select to add it.
