Default Password protected Word file

Hi,

I've got a word document which has a password on it that I cannot remember
for the life of me. Any ideas how I can recover?

Searched through the internet but can only find trial versions of recovery
software which just wants be to buy.

Surely there must be a way of recovering.

Its word 2003

Cheers
