Defining my own styles
I am setting up a number of styles. One of them is for a bullet-list. I also
want to create one for a numbered list. Both are based on my general style for "body" text. When I create my style for the numbered list - somehow this affects the bullet list style - in the way that the bullet disappears and the indentation is removed... How do I prevent that one style affects the other like that..? |

Defining my own styles
Is your custom style based on another numbered style? If so, the number
formatting might very well be "hi-jacked" by the custom style. Instead of basing a style on a numbered style, create a new numbered style from scratch. I am using Word 2003 SP3.
Even when I base both styles on "(no style)" - I still get this correlatoin where changing one affects the other. "Stefan Blom" wrote: Is your custom style based on another numbered style? But you did initially create the custom style by modifying a numbered style?
If so, they could still be sharing the same underlying numbering scheme.
