Default Word 2003. Klick a Tab on the Tab-bar. Tab is 0.3 cm out. Why ?

I use Windows XP and Word 2003. De settings in Word are metric. Default tabs
distance 1 cm. When I click a Tab with the mouse on the Tab-bar, the position
of the Tab is always 0.3 cm out except for 3 and 6. Why ?
