how to jump from index to contents in document and back to index?
I want to create a document with many headings and want to jump to that part
of the body of the document from the index, and back to the index. Can anybody explain to me in ENGLISH how I can do this? Please. |

If by "index" you actually mean the table of contents (TOC), then jumping to
the headings is easy: in all versions of Word, the page numbers in a TOC are hyperlinked to the headings; in Word 2000 and above the TOC entries themselves can also be hyperlinked. Getting back is a little more difficult. Using the Back button on the Web toolbar will usually work; Word 2002 and 2003 have a GoToTOC command that can be dragged to a toolbar button (note: this button does NOT work if your TOC is built on TC fields). -- Suzanne S.
