Default Footers Missing

We have just upgraded from Word 2000 to Word 2007. In some of my master
documents, the footers show and 2000 but when they are opened in 2007, the
footers disappear
What is the fix?

Default Footers Missing

Take a look in Office Button Word Options Display to see if the check has
been removed in the first box: "Show white space..."

You can also show/hide the white space by dbl-clicking the top or bottom
edge of a "page" in Print Layout View. See:
