Default Item not collected: Format not supported by Office Clipboard

I am trying to copy a font from Windows/Fonts on my Vista machine to my
Pocket PC using Windows Mobile 6.0. When I highlight the ttf file or files,
I get the message ""Item not collected: Format not supported by Office
Clipboard". How can I transfer a font to Mobile Word?

The 'Office' clip board message is the clue. Copying should be done at the
operating system level rather than in Office. To what extent this is
possible with a Pocket PC I have no idea.

I was doing it through the operatings system. I tried Control Panel-Fonts
and Windows/Fonts. Both gave me the same error. Do you know who else I
could ask?

I know nothing about Pocket PCs but a google check produced (amongst other
links)

To add fonts, copy the fonts you want from your PC's
\%systemroom%\windows\fonts directory to the \windows\fonts directory on
your Pocket PC device. Note that you might not be able to remove the added
fonts, even after you delete the font files, without resetting your device.

I am now getting that same message that the type is not supported by
clipboard when I try to copy jpg's from the Pocket PC. I believe the problem
is lying with clipboard. Is there a way to reset it?

Frankly I don't know why the Office clipboard is in any way involved if you
are copying via the operating system.

I was having the same "format not supported by Office Clipboard" too when I tried to copy two files from one directory to another directory (one on the local drive the other on a network drive). (Win7 Pro, Office 2007.)

Part of the function of the Office Clipboard is that if you have an Office app open the Office Clipboard is open too, so you have two choices (maybe more, I only looked at two):
1) Exit all Office apps (Word, Excel, Outlook(?), Access, PowerPoint, etc).
2) Probably simpler, right-click on the Office Clipboard in the taskbar and select Stop Collecting.

Once you're done what you need, if an Office app is still open, activate that window and the Office Clipboard should again start collecting. If you've already closed all Office apps the Office Clipboard will reopen when you reopen an Office app.

It's odd, because it doesn't seem to always work this way. (I didn't try minimizing the Office app, but that may work too.)
