If I insert an Excel table I get a graph, not the cells I specifie
I've done some kind of mess. I played with the Objet "Convert" and "Activate
as" options in an embedded Excel table in a Word file, and now everytime I want to insert an Excel table (e.g. 3x2 cells) I get a graph in the Excel table instead of what I specified. Is there any way to fix whatever I modified? |

Hi ?B?R2VybcOhbg==?=,
I've done some kind of mess. I played with the Objet "Convert" and "Activate as" options in an embedded Excel table in a Word file, and now everytime I want to insert an Excel table (e.g. 3x2 cells) I get a graph in the Excel table instead of what I specified. Is there any way to fix whatever I modified? slap fingerstsk-tsk. I did the same thing, a few years ago playing around in VBA :-) The culprit is ActivateAs. When you assign this you're actually remapping the OLE Server for this type of object, in the Registry. If I ActivateAs in VBA and specify something not present in the Registry ("gobbledygook"), then the Registry has always managed to remap the thing back to its correct, original OLE Server app. You could also try Detect and Repair in Excel's Help menu.
