how do i find the sum of numbers in a vertical column in word?
I am trying to find the total of a list of numbers in a column.

On the Tables and Borders toolbar, there's an AutoSum button with the Greek
letter sigma (Σ) on it. Put your cursor in the cell IMMEDIATELY below the column of figures you want to sum, and click the AutoSum button. You can't have any blank rows in the column, or it will only sum up to the blank row. (Put zeros in any blank rows.) It also has trouble with any non-numeric symbols, so make sure you don't have any footnotes or reference numbers (or fraction symbols) in your column. I hope this helps.
