Default Why does my document page number increase after printing (244 pag.

I have a Word 2003 doc with 244 pages. When I do a Preview it shows 250
pages. When I return out of Preview, the document shows 250 pages. If I
close and then reopen the file it shows 244 pages.

Preview updates fields in the file which could affect the length. If you
don't save the changes then the changes preview makes are not reflected in
the file.
