Linking a graph from an excel spreadsheet to a Word Doc
Hello Smart People,
When creating graphs within Excel is it possible to link/import those graphs into Word? If no, any other solutions to achieve this? Thanks! |

Linking a graph from an excel spreadsheet to a Word Doc
Hi
Yes you can do this. At its simplest level, copy the graph in Excel and then do Edit Paste Special in Word. Choose to link, if you want, and then choose an appropriate format. The simplest, cleanest, lightest format is as a picture. If you paste the entire Chart object into your Word document, you get the entire chart, along with its data. If that's what you want, fine. If that includes your profit markup in a proposal you're sending to a client, I'd go with the picture! For further information see http://peltiertech.com/Excel/XL_PPT.html Hope this helps.
