Default Use Powerpoint Template in Word?

Is there a way to use a Powerepoint Template in Word? Specifically, the
background?

NiquieD,
You could go in the master of the PowerPoint template and see if you can
select the background there and copy it to Word.
Usually I save the PowerPoint presentation to a webpage (*.htm, *.html),
which creates a folder with all files listed, one of them will be your
background image. Be carefull as the names of the files may be cryptic.
