Is there a way to use a Powerepoint Template in Word? Specifically, the

You could go in the master of the PowerPoint template and see if you can select the background there and copy it to Word. Usually I save the PowerPoint presentation to a webpage (*.htm, *.html), which creates a folder with all files listed, one of them will be your background image.
