Default Forms / templates in word

In a form how do I apply firstcap formatting in a text box (2000), also is
there anyway that I can ensure that certain sections of a form are filled in
before they can go any further

You shouldn't do anything with fields in a text box. Use a frame or a table.
As for empty fields - see http://www.gmayor.com/formfieldmacros.htm
