Default Word 2003 Template/Styles

Help - I'm reaching desperation! I've created a special template full of
styles to handle some large documents I'm working on. I've created the
following styles: NewHeadingI, NewHeadingII, NewHeadingIII, NewBody1,
NewBody2, NewBody3, NewBody4, NewNumber1, NewNumber2, NewNumber3, NewNumber4.
Each has its own short-cut key.

The "bodies" and the "numbers" are indented successively and align under the
applicable "headings" respectively. All is wonderful until I have a
NewHeadingII, followed by several NewNumber2s, then another NewHeadingII,
followed by several new NewNumber2s. When I attempt to restart the second
set of numbers at 1, ALL the numbered paragraphs loose their formatting.
(They are all indented, all with a hanging indent of .4).

Can anyone help. PLEASE !
