Default cursor problems

I have a problem with my cursor. It looks normal except there is a line under
it, like a permanent underline. It doesn't seem to affect my document. I
don't know what I hit but I can't figure it out. And I don't know if it's
related to the look of the page problem I have. On screen my document looks
to be in landscape but when I print it comes out fine. I've looked on page
set up and zoom and those are both normal. Please help, I'm new to Word.

It sounds as if you are in Normal view. If you switch to Print Layout view,
does that help?
