Default How do I get Microsoft Word added to my computer?

I have a compaq Computer and I cannot oen some of my e-mails that have
attachments made from certain softwares like pub files or acrobat ect.,
because I do not have the software called microsoft word. How do I get
microsoft word. Do I purchase it or download it ? Please someone advise me,
I don't like having to go to the library just to open certain files. Thanks

Word can't open pub files. You need to buy Publisher for that.

Word can't open pdf files. You need to download Adobe Reader for that.

Word is not a download, you must purchase it.

A slight addition to JoAnn's suggestions:

You can open Word files with Word viewer rather than using the full Word
programme. It is very limiyrd in its capability, however, if you do not
need to edit or otherwise change the document, the reader might be all
you need. And it is free.
