Too many decimal places
When mail-merging Excel data into Word, there are too many decimal places for
some of the numbers. i.e. Excel 22.02 Word 22.199999999999997 Excel 17.1 Word 17.09999999999999 Cell formating has no effect. |

When doing a mail-merge in Word you can control the look of many fields by
using €śswitches.€ť For your decimal point situation you will want to use the €śNumeric Picture€ť switch. First, display the field codes in your merge document. Alt-F9 is the toggle for this. Position your cursor just to the right of your field name and then hit the spacebar. Now type: \# ###.00 Put the appropriate number of zeros after the decimal to accommodate your needs. Here is an example of what one of my merge fields with a Numeric Picture looks like when displayed in field codes: { MERGEFIELD average_score \# ###.00 } Happy Merging!
