Using XP how do I set up a macro with a button on the Toolbar?
I create the macro I need and save it to the toolbar. It saves as text and I
would like to replace this text with a button - like those already existing on the toolbar. |

Open the Tools Customize dialog -- while this dialog is open, the toolbar buttons are in a "design mode". Right-click on your button, and change it from “Text only” to “Default Style”. Then you can select “Edit button Image”, or “Change button image”, or “Paste button image”. In order to paste a button image, you have to copy one first. You can copy an image from the document, or from another button; or from a graphic in a graphics package. For much more detail on this, see the article http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/Custom...ttonImages.htm. When you've finished, close the Customize dialog. When you close Word, if you're asked whether to save changes to Normal.dot, say yes. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. |
