Default How do I recover an unsaved Word document?

I am working in the new Beta version of Office. I revised a document and
inadvertently deleted it before saving the changes. I tried recovering it
from the Recycle Bin but found only the earlier version before I made my
revisions. I checked some of the earlier answers to similar problems and it
looks pretty bleak unless there is a miracle worker out there.

How exactly did you delete it before saving the changes? Can you tell us
what steps you took?

Well, I was in the process of closing unwanted emails that I had been
reading. I closed out the by clicking on the "X" in the upper right hand
corner. I received the familiar message, "Do you want to save, etc." And of
course, I clicked, "no" and watched the work disappear.

Are there any files starting with ~ left in the same directory? Or is
there anything ending with .tmp there or in your temp directory?
My guess is though that you are pretty much out of luck. Anyone else
have a better idea what else he could do?
