Default custom label

i'm having truoble printing a customized label in word '03 using windows xp.
i'm using a dot matrix printer. the label is 3in high by 4in wide, 4 labels
to a page. 4 labels print fine, but when printing the 5th label, the printer
advances a label & 1/2. therefore all of the following labels are not
aligned properly. i have checked the printer set up, the page set up. What
am i missing or not doing??
