Default Open Works 3.0 address book in Word 2000

Is there a way to use Word 2000 to create mailing labels from my list of
several hundred contacts in an ancient Works 3.0 address book. The World mail
merge function doesn't seem to recognize the Works WDB file. Many thanks.

There are two issues here.
1. You would need an appropriate Works filter to open Works *documents* in
Word (and most are linked from the downloads page of my web site)
but
2. This is a Works *database* and Word is not compatible with Works
databases, unless you have Word as part of the Works suite and you have
installed the horribly problematical Works add-in for Word. The only way to
use Works databases in Word is to export them to a compatible format such as
comma delimted text or dbf from Works.
