I saved an image file in office 2003 to .mdi and have now upgraded to vista
and office 2007. Office 2007 does not open .mdi files?!? How can I open
and/or save this file to .tif or something that it can be viewed in?? TIA

Office 2007 doesn't install the Document Imaging program by default. Install it
through the control panel. Programs and Features. Click on Office, click change,
insert your disk, find the utility, run all from my computer.

MDI files are associated with Microsoft Office Document Imaging, which is
supplied with Office (including 2007) but not installed by default. Re-run
Office setup and add it.
