Default I had my PC built in 2005. How do I have files in my HD dated as.

I had my PC built in Feb: of 2005. Lately, by mistake, I found files in my
HD dating back as far as 1991. How is it possiable?

Files copied from other media (such as a CD) will carry their original
creation dates.
