For each subentry, add an XE field that includes the main entry, a colon, and the subentry: { XE "Ethane: formula" } { XE "Ethane: synthesis" } The {Index} field will automatically display the subentries on separate lines indented under the main entry. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. |

Okay, as long as it works, and as long as you're consistent. I've seen cases
where inconsistency resulted in duplicate index entries. -- Suzanne S.
