I have Windows Vista op system and Word 2007. Whenever a pretty big (25-100
pages) file is open, its very slow to make changes. Specially when I switch
to other progrmas and come back to Word document, it hangs for 5-10 sec
writing below - Connecting to printer, press ESC to cancel. When I do press
ESC Word crashes, if I just wait it comes back and I can work again. But from
time to time the same message comes below and sometimes also Not respondig
message. It seems there is nothing to do with printing, cause this works. Any
ideas? Anything I need to turn off to stop this from happening? I have tried
reintalling Office, no help...

Are you using a network printer? If so, the delay could be due to Word
searching for your network printer driver. Try removing the printer and
installing it again using the Add Printer Wizard so the driver will be
installed locally instead of on the network.
