Default how do you change the default spacing from auto to 0?

how can I change the default spacing in paragraph format from auto to 0?

You mean the Before and After spacing? It sounds like you're copying from
other locations. If that's the case, you need to Edit--Paste
special--Unformatted text.

Are you saying the default spacing in a brand new document is not zero?
Where are you seeing "auto"?

Yes, the Before and After spacing. Right now the default spacing is set at
Auto. Each time I open a new document I need to change it to 0. I do that
with Format--Paragraph--Indents and Spacing. I want to change the default
setting from Auto to 0. Do you know how to do that?
