is it possible to change the backround colour of a word document? perhaps as a watermark or use an image to tile it? I have tried - but what happens is that word turns my doc into a web page - is there a way to avoid it doing this? Thanks for any help D ps i am using word 2000 pps i will be converting the doc to a pdf later so this is a concern also |

You have to create the background as a "watermark"; see “HOW TO: Create a
Watermark in Word 97 and in Microsoft Word 2000” at http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=211324. Note, however, that even if you make it cover the entire page, your printer will probably not be able to print to the edge. -- Suzanne S. Hi Suzanne, Thanks for this- it works very well, I have one other query, I don't know if you can help with. In the above linked doc it says that to have the watermark on each page - put it into a header/footer area. I would like my watermark to be down the (left) side of each page, is there anyway to do this. your help and time is appreciated Kal |

A graphic anchored to the header and formatted with Behind Text wrapping can
be anywhere on the page. -- Suzanne S.
