Help... Section Breaks
I have a document that will be changed over and over by people who have very
little experience with word and sections breaks. Its layed out like this: Cover TOC Section 1: Background (Content) Section 2: Executive Summary (Content) and so on.. The issues I have is, can I use styles to create the sections without section breaks. The headers of course need to reflect the new sections. Also, the section names are centered vertically and horizontally on the page. Please help. Thanks. |

Create styles for you headings, or better yet, modify the built-in Heading 1 to 9 styles to match the formatting you need. When you are done, go into the header, place the cursor where you want the headings to appear and do CTRL-F9 to insert a pair of field brackets {}. Inside the bracket, type {STYLEREF 1} if you want the Heading 1 text to be in the header or type {STYLEREF 2} for Heading 2, etc. If you used your own styles, type the name of the style, like {STYLEREF My Heading Style}. See Insert Fields... for more info on the STYLEREF fields, like how to dislpay paragraph numbering. Also, see this page for reasons why it is generally better to use the built-in heading stytles: http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/numb...ingStyles.html |
