Office 2003 ~ Word

Is there a way to add a selection to the drop-down selection menu in format
background printed watermark utility?

I like to add SOLD as an option.

In the Watermark dialog, the Text dropdown is actually a "combo box"
in which you can type any text you want. There doesn't seem to be any
way to add permanently to the list, but "SOLD" is short enough that
typing it in each time is probably quicker than selecting from the
list would be.

You could also save a template with the watermark already in place.
Then use File New, select the template, and just add your other text
on top of it.

The watermark tool puts a Word Art graphic in the background of the header
layer. If you open the header layer and select the graphic using the white
arrow on the drawing toolbar, you can save the graphic as a formatted
autocorrect entry - call it #sold. Then to insert that watermark on any
individual page type #sold.

Doesn't the obvious smack you right in the face sometimes. The number of
times I have typed ORDER into the dialog and all I had to do was use
AutoText! I feel like an amateur.

Actually, Graham suggested formatted AutoCorrect, but either would work.
