Default remove lines on word documents

when using word, all new documents display with lines like a standard shett
of paper, any thoughts on how they can be removed.

Try this: Display the Drawing toolbar, click the Draw button at the left end
of it, and select Grid. If that dialog has a check mark for "Show gridlines
on screen", uncheck it.

If that isn't it, see

things to try.
