Date import using numerical abbreviations - 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc.
I might be too optimistic in trying to achieve this, but is it possible to
format a mailmerged date in Word to include the abbreviations *st, *rd and *nd, showing 1st December 2008, for example? Thank you, |

Hi Nightowl4933,
To see how to do this and just about everything else you might want to do with dates in Word, check out my Date Calc 'tutorial', at: http://www.wopr.com/cgi-bin/w3t/show...?Number=249902 or http://www.gmayor.com/downloads.htm#Third_party In particular, look at the item titled 'Insert A Date with Ordinal Numbering'. Do read the document's introductory material. For your purposes, you could replace the 'DATE' strings in either of these fields with your mergefield. -- Cheers macropod [MVP - Microsoft Word] "Nightowl4933" wrote in message ...
