Default Date import using numerical abbreviations - 1st, 2nd, 3rd etc.

I might be too optimistic in trying to achieve this, but is it possible to
format a mailmerged date in Word to include the abbreviations *st, *rd and
*nd, showing 1st December 2008, for example?

Thank you,

Hi Nightowl4933,

To see how to do this and just about everything else you might want to do with dates in Word, check out my Date Calc 'tutorial', at:
http://www.wopr.com/cgi-bin/w3t/show...?Number=249902
or
http://www.gmayor.com/downloads.htm#Third_party
In particular, look at the item titled 'Insert A Date with Ordinal Numbering'. Do read the document's introductory material.

For your purposes, you could replace the 'DATE' strings in either of these fields with your mergefield.
