Question Drop down menu with different value to display name

I want to create a drop down menu where the value shown after clicking the display name is different. For example when clicking the drop down menu you would see diagnoses "acute respiratory failure" but when you select it it will fill show the value "518.5". I'm trying to create a small billing card.

Is there any way to do this without writing a macro? I am a typical Word user, so I have no idea of the complexities of use. I'm just learning to use the Developer tab, so please understand I'm a bit of newbie.

Thanks for any help.

Default Drop down menu with different value to display name

This could be done with an AutoTextList field, depending on what version of
Word you have (see http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/TblsFldsFms/AutoTextList.htm).
Ordinarily you would have a brief name for your AutoText entry that would
insert a longer text string, but there's no reason you can't do it the other
way round.
