I recently accidentally reset my Internet settings, but in doing this I lost
the dictionary I have spent years building in Word. I also lost all my
macros and I wondered if there was any way of recovering these?

This should not result from changing Internet settings, but it sounds as if
you have mislaid or overwritten Normal.dot and Custom.dic. Try searching the
HD for them.
