Default cross references, different languages, Word 2007, how to look thelanguage!

Hi,

I have a document that has been started in English. I can see that in
the cross reference, Figure, Table are in English.
No when I want to add a new figure I get the name Figur, which is
Swedish, or Tabell which also is Swedish and of course I can not see
my previous created tables and figures.

I want to use English. How can I do that?
The language is set to English, but new figures, tables will be
created in Swedish.

(The god thing is that the table of figures and table of tables is
still working correct, in English)

Thanks for all help
Best regards
Georg

First of all, turn off "Detect language automatically" in Review tab | Set
Language.

Then make sure that the correct language is applied to the styles. Usually,
changing the language of the Normal style should suffice. However, if
nothing else works, select all of the text (Ctrl+A) and, via the Language
dialog box, manually apply English (U.S.) or whatever "flavor" of English
you want.

To change existing captions, you can replace them manually or show field
codes (Alt+F9) and modify the field code directly.
