update linked object whithout prompt
Hello!
We are intending to use linked objects (bitmap images) in some Word documents. There is a problem that everytime the user opens document which contains linked object a dialog prompts asking whether to update the linked object. Our users do not like this and it is desirable that linked object would be updated automatically on the background. I read on Microsoft Office's site that it is possible to control this prompt, but there were no instructions how to do this. Please, does someone know how can I hide this prompt? Thanks! Peter |

From the Tools menu, select Options and on the General tab, uncheck the box
against "Update automatic links at Open" -- Hope this helps. Please reply to the newsgroup unless you wish to avail yourself of my services on a paid consulting basis.
