How do I copy first business card to the others?
I am new to using Word to create a business card and am trying to copy the
information including graphics from the first card to the rest of the cards on the template. Surely I don't have to edit each card individually? |

Surely I don't have to edit each card individually? The card template is just a table (if you don't see the cells, click Show Gridlines). Select the first cell and copy it to the clipboard; then select the whole table and paste. That will repeat the first cell in each of the others, all at once. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. |

If you are using graphics then here's a method I use for this. The
steps may look lengthy but they really aren't.: - Go to View/Toolbars and turn on the Mail Merge toolbar - Click the first command (Main document setup) and select "Labels" - Select your label product when prompted - Set up your label with the graphic in the first label - On the Mail Merge toolbar click "Propagate labels" (near the center) - On the Mail Merge toolbar click the "Main document setup" command and select "Normal Word document" Now you also need to remove the Next field in the labels: - Press Alt + F9 to toggle the display of field codes - Go to Edit/Replace - In the Find What text box type: ^d Next - Leave the Replace With text box blank - Click Replace All - Press Alt + F9 to toggle off the display of field codes Please post all follow-up questions to the newsgroup. Use the macro at http://www.gmayor.com/graphics_on_labels.htm (which is
based on Beth's suggestion). -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Bibber wrote: I am new to using Word to create a business card and am trying to copy the information including graphics from the first card to the rest of the cards on the template.
