Default Why doesn't my trial pass work?

My initial trial of Windows office ran out and when I got my trial pass for
the extended 60 days the pass didn't work. A box would pop up saying that the
process was a success but all the controls are still locked, I can't
copy/cut/paste or edit anything in the documents in any way. I don't know
what I'm doing wrong, I followed the online instructions to activate the
trial so it should have worked.

You only get the one trial. When that has expired you have to pay the piper.
