Normal Templates Differences
There should not be a normal.dotx, only a normal.dotm. If you have a
normal.dotx, rename it as normal.bad. -- Terry Farrell - MSWord MVP "Carl" wrote in message ... Using Word 2007, what is the difference between normal.dotx and normal.dotm Any insight greatly appreciated. Carl |

Normal Templates Differences
I think you are really asking the difference between dotx templates and dotm
templates. The -x templates do not contain macros and the -m templates do. Because the normal template must be able to hold macros, it must be normal. dotm.
