Tablet inking oddity in Word2007
All,
After invoking "Start Inking" in the ribbon I can make just one stroke with the pen before the interface reverts to [expecting] typing and the pen input stops. Another way of saying this is that inking will stop as sioon as I lift the pen from the tablet screen surface, even for just a moment. Of course, this means that you cannot finish many letters or certainly two letters of a word. This can't be right... I have looked throughout the dialog boxes in Word2007 (Beta 2, still, not B2TR) for any setting that affects this. My other programs behave 9mostly) as expected with their pen input. I am NOT referring to comments, just inking within a document. Any thoughts on what causes this? I have lots of classroom needs for inking within Word. I don't have Word2003 on this laptop to try the same input source, so cannot compare. I use WinXP tablet edition on a Toshiba M400 with T2500 dual core processor and 2GIG RAM. Jonathan Rawle |

Tablet inking oddity in Word2007
Hi Jonathan,
There really is no point in trying to troubleshoot this with Beta 2. You should install B2TR, see if it resolves the issue and post back if it doesn't. Do yourself a favor though and read through my B2TR issues page first before installing it. Also, read the B2TR OneNote post so that you don't run into any trouble with that.
