Default How to write over bar

How can write "a" and an overbar on top of that "a"?
I may need to do it for many other characters as a mean of average. so a
general solution please.

Hi Rasoul ,

Two more solutions for you to play with:

{EQ \s\up6(\f(,a))}
Replace the 'a' in the field with the desired character(s). The '6' controls
the bar height. Adjust to suit your point size (typically about 1/2).

{EQ \o (-,a)}
Superscript the first character in the field and subscript the second
character, which leads to small characters for both. For multiple lower
characters, you need multiple '-' upper characters, possibly more above than
below.

Either of these has the advantage of not increasing the line height.

Cheers
