How can I format my responses in the MS Word template (*.dot)? Software
doesn't allow me to format my answers to the questions I am answering in the
word template document. Can someone help?

You have not supplied enough information about the nature of the template,
the documents it produces or what you want to format.

I think Namdeo is talking about a protected form, in which it is not
possible to apply font formatting to text entered in form fields.
