Saving doc, not template
I have an XP Pro system with Word 2002 installed. I have created a number of
templates - for example, one is called letterhead.dot. I start word, file, new and select letterhead.dot (document radio button selected not template). Next I type in the document. When I quit with a save, I save the document to an original name. Word then pops up another window asking if I wanted to save letterhead.dot. How do I get rid of the option of saving the template too? (I don't want my users saving anything on templates.) Thanks rob |

The message is telling you that something has changed in the template also.
To prevent that message, find out what is making the change. Eg: redefine a style with 'Update template' checked; define a new Autotext entry assigned to the template, etc. "rob p" wrote in message ... I have an XP Pro system with Word 2002 installed.
