Removing unwanted right click menu item in Word 2000
I installed a program which created an entry in the right click menu. When I
uninstalled the program the right click item remained. How can I remove it? I have tried looking for it in the Registry but can't find it. I've tried renaming Normal.dot and generating a new Normal.dot (which got rid of it) but even though I have followed all the instructions, I cannot find how to copy my many, many macros into the new Normal.dot. In the macro organizer it only shows things like Modules, Classes and User Forms. Is there a simple solution, please? |

Tools | Customize. Select the Toolbars tab. Check the box for Shortcut
Menus. You'll get a toolbar showing Text, Table, and Draw. Each is a menu listing the shortcut (context) menus for that category. There are a *lot* of them. Open each one in turn and drag the offending item off. You might want to start with just one or two of these. Before you waste time tracking them all down, check to make sure that they don't come back when you restart Word. If they do, there's likely a leftover add-in from your program that Word is loading at Startup. It may be in the Word Startup folder, and you may find it listed under Tools | Templates and Add-ins (in which case you can get the path to it), but if not, see http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customizat...sInstalled.htm -- Suzanne S. Thank you Suzanne. Worked perfectly.
