How do I maintain read-only documents when opened as a web page?
I have created a read-only word file that requires a password to edit the
file and uploaded it to my web server. If I download the file to my hard drive, this security setting is maintained. However, if I choose to open the file in my browser, I find that I can edit the file and save it to my hard drive. When I open the file from my hard drive, it is once again read-only, but the changes that I had previously made have been saved. Does anyone know how I can avoid this? Many thanks in advance, Mark |
