External table is not in the expected format
I'm doing a Mailmerge with Word 2007 and Excel 2007 using the new 2007 file
format. My Excel file is password protected so that only I can update it. However, when I try to do a Mailmerge with the Excel file, I receive the following error: External table is not in the expected format. If I take off the password, it works just fine. If I open the Excel file and keep it open while I do a Mailmerge, it works fine. If I save it as a 2003 file format, I get a few error messages, but it still lets me open the Excel file to use in my merge. This process worked just fine in 2003, did something change in 2007? |
