An easy way to do it is to type what you think you see into word if you can still use it (wordpad or notepad if you can't), change one digit at a time and copy/paste your "new" number into the registration box. Use ctrl + c to copy, ctrl + v to paste - if you need to. good luck! |

If you are 100% certain that you have previously installed that product
using that product key then at least you know that you should be able to do it again - with a bit of patience. If there is any doubt you're probably on to a looser. Regards. Priti had this to say: My reply is at the bottom of your sent message: I have been trying to use the product key to register my software, but its saying "you have not entered the valid product key." I'm so frustrated, I don't know what to do. I am not sure if this helps but I just went through a huge stack of Microsoft Keys (all handily printed out for me too) and I don't see any instances of a zero nor of the letter "O" anywhere. I think that this was disallowed because it led to confusion. So if it looked like a 0 or a O it was probably the Q that sf mentioned. I also don't see any L, 1, or I listed. Somewhere there's gotta be a list of these things. g As they are always in capital letters (you should hit the caps lock before entering the key as it will make it easier to spot typographical errors) I am not sure why they didn't go ahead and use the L or I but I suppose it's simpler without them. a very readable font--not the smudgy dot-matrix OCR type that caused the sort of confusion referenced here. -- Suzanne S. I have found companies, over the years, who provide serials with 0 in them but most seem to avoid it. I wonder if it's some sort of unspoken rule? I've never sold software anything I've ever created I wouldn't think anyone would want to buy so it's a non-issue for me... It does make me curious now though. Aren't you the pot calling the kettle black. Please use this big
white space to write a coherent description of your problem. If you get an error message, please quote it exactly and completely. Sometimes you need to call more than once or twice. I have been telling
people for several years that if they call tech support and speak with someone who they don't understand or a person who gives them information that is beyond their level of understanding, they need to call again.........and again........and again, if necessary. Don't get nasty with them. Try to remember that they are trying to do their job. You can also try (although it may not work) asking to speak with their supervisor. Did you follow the steps that are listed on http://support.microsoft.com/default...;en-us;823570? -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] "dr" wrote in message ... Tried that. Twice.
