Default Compile erro hidden:Autoexit

Iam using XP office, when closing word I would get an error saying word was
unable to exit, after doing some research I found that adobe 5.0 has some
compadability issues so I proceeded to do the recomended patch via ADOBE,
(MISTAKE) after the patch was applied it corrupted my notrmal.dot template.
So after several trys to correct this I reloaded office XP but when opening
or exiting I get the following errors

Compile error hidden: Auto exit
Compile error hidden: Import Components

Do not know where to go from here any help is appreciated

It would seem the errors are coming from the Acrobat add-in rather than
Word. To confirm this, remove the add-in.

Hi Tony,

See section 4 of
http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErr...peningWord.htm

Even though your problem is with closing instead of opening, the fix
is the same -- find and remove the add-in that's causing the problem.
In your case, it sounds like it's Adobe's fault.
