I have set my default margins in 'page set-up' but when I start a new
document, although the margins appear to be set in the ruler, the text falls
short of these margins. I have discovered that by clicking on columns, the
document switches to print layout view and the document/text does expand to
fit my margins, but then I have to switch out of 'print layout' view.

How can i fix this?
